Store Audit Monitoring Program

PMR’s Store Audits Monitoring Program (SAMP) uses Market Audit Tool software to gather, process and analyze shelf data to create a new type of planning and supervision engine aimed at making sure your product is available.

Retailers and manufacturers are always looking for ways to increase sales, one way PMR-SAMP can help them boost the top line is by providing the visibility needed to reduce the number of times a product is out of stock when a customer wants to buy it.

What We Do?

PMR-SAMP encompasses the assessment of net distribution performance and results achieved by individual employees, groups or teams. With this information, our clients can move beyond standard solutions to new strategies and tools that will reduce stock-outs, increase customer loyalty, and implement processes that convert stockouts into save-the-sale opportunities.

Out Of Stock

The Absence of an SKU on the shelf. Products that are out of stock are not available to buy in a store because they have all been sold and have not been replenished.  This out of stock is from the consumer’s point of view and has no relationship with products available at the backroom or warehouse.

Near Out Of Stock

Presence of an SKU that has less than 2 products per designated facing. This serves as an indicator for actionability.

Facing Share & Count

When the product is in the front of the shelf and the label is turned forward, this is considered facing. Facing Share is the number of faces of a brand divided by the total amount of faces of the category.

No Label

SKUs with no price label.

Display Audits & Share

Measures the presence of negotiated displays within stores and the number of displays of a brand divided by the total amount of displays of the category.

Methodology

Using a computerized data gathering operation, we observe the product incidence on shelf, count total, category facings, identify and count product facings, collect pricing information, etc.

Every store is visited once a month by our full-time in-house auditors using laptops computers with our audit software designed to handle large quantities of data and to guide and direct auditors through the information gathering process.

Each outlet is visited by well-trained auditors that gather, sort, analyzes, and evaluates needed, timely and accurate information to management. Audit exemption reports are delivered immediately to store managers after the audit.
